Akuyaku Reijou wa "Moe" wo Abiru Hodo Sesshu shitai!

Akuyaku Reijou wa Moe wo Abiru Hodo Sesshu shitai! is a manga series written and illustrated by Karasuma Shimei, emerging from the robust Japanese market for 'villainess' stories, a subgenre of isekai fantasy that subverts typical tropes through the perspective of a protagonist reborn into the role of a narrative antagonist. Serialized in the magazine Comic Yuri Hime, the work focuses on the intersection of otaku subculture and nobility-themed fantasy, blending traditional shoujo aesthetics with the self-aware humor characteristic of modern web-novel adaptations.

Karasuma Shimei designed the series to emphasize the expressive, often comedic reactions of the lead character as she navigates her predetermined role while indulging her personal interests. The title, which roughly translates to 'The Villainess Wants to Absorb as Much Moe as Possible,' reflects the author's intent to center the narrative on the concept of 'moe'—the intense affection fans feel for fictional archetypes. The series has been received as a lighthearted contribution to the villainess genre, appreciated by readers for its focused character dynamics and the specific niche appeal of its premise.
