Bambino! is a seinen manga series written and illustrated by Sekiya Tetsuji, which began serialization in Big Comic Spirits in 2004. The narrative follows Ban Shogo, a college student from Fukuoka who travels to Tokyo to refine his culinary skills in the high-pressure environment of an authentic Italian restaurant. It was created to explore the visceral, often grueling realities of professional kitchen life, moving away from idealized cooking tropes to focus on the relentless pace of a bustling trattoria.
