Where it came from
Big Gathering! We are Oreca!! is a manga series authored by Gotou Hideki, based on the popular digital collectible card game Oreca Battle. The manga was published in Shogakukan's Monthly CoroCoro Comic, a long-running magazine aimed at young boys, and served as a key multimedia companion piece to the arcade game's release in the early 2010s.
The series focuses on the whimsical and high-energy fantasy battles characteristic of the Oreca universe, where players command monsters created from physical cards. Gotou Hideki’s art style translates the game’s diverse character designs into a fast-paced, comedic narrative format that helped build the community culture surrounding the arcade cabinets.
