Where it came from
This volume is a fan-produced publication created by the circle Lilac&Halo, originating from the vibrant dōjin culture surrounding the mobile game Blue Archive. Released at hobbyist conventions such as Comiket or similar regional events, the work serves as an educational and humorous fusion, bridging the gap between the game's specific thematic inspirations and actual historical study. The creators focused on the Abydos High School students, whose character designs and lore are heavily rooted in Egyptian mythology, providing a accessible entry point for players to understand the historical archetypes behind their favorite characters.
The publication is designed as a condensed, accessible guide that strips away the academic density of traditional mythology books in favor of a casual, visual-heavy format. It utilizes the established art style and personality traits of the Foreclosure Task Force to narrate the stories of deities such as Anubis and Horus. Within the fan community, the work is noted for its ability to transform dense cultural research into a digestible companion piece, earning appreciation for the diligence of the research despite its informal and fan-centric presentation.
