Where it came from
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex serves as the direct continuation of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations series, marking a significant time skip in the narrative established by Masashi Kishimoto. Following the conclusion of the initial series, the story shifts focus to a more mature and somber tone, chronicling the aftermath of Eida's omnipotence and the subsequent displacement of Boruto Uzumaki. This era of the manga, illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto under Kishimoto’s supervision, leans into a sleek, modernized aesthetic that emphasizes dynamic character designs and higher-stakes conflict.
The 'fan colored' iterations of this volume represent a vibrant sub-culture of digital artistry within the global anime and manga community. While the official print releases remain in black and white, these colored versions are produced by dedicated fan groups who painstakingly apply digital palettes to the raw manga panels. These projects are intended to enhance the visual storytelling experience and provide a cinematic flair to the manga’s action-oriented sequences, reflecting the passionate engagement of the audience with the series' evolving visual identity.
