Bravely Default - Flying Fairy

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012, was developed by Silicon Studio and published by Square Enix. It emerged during a period when the developer sought to revitalize the classic turn-based Japanese role-playing game genre, blending traditional mechanics like the Brave and Default battle system with modern aesthetics and job-based character progression. The title quickly became a cornerstone of the 3DS library, praised for its strategic depth and nostalgic appeal.

The visual identity of the game, characterized by its watercolor-inspired aesthetic and intricate character designs, was led by Akihiko Yoshida. His artistic direction, which balanced a storybook charm with character silhouettes reminiscent of classic Final Fantasy titles, was central to the game's identity. This volume, featuring work associated with Nishizu Taiki, complements the game’s lore and visual development, documenting the creative evolution of the world of Luxendarc.
