Bus Gamer (Stencil)

Bus Gamer was serialized in the magazine Monthly Comic Rex, beginning in 1999 under the pen of the prolific mangaka Minekura Kazuya. The series was conceived as a high-stakes thriller centered on three strangers recruited into a corporate-sponsored game that involves high-risk industrial espionage. It represents an early exploration of the dark, urban aesthetic that would become a hallmark of Minekura's later, more widely recognized works.

The series is noted for its character-driven narrative and Minekura's distinct artistic style, which emphasizes sharp lines and a gritty, modern sensibility. Although the original serialization was left unfinished due to the creator's health complications, it remains a cult classic among fans of late 90s seinen manga. The design focus was on creating a moody, minimalist atmosphere that reflected the detached and cynical nature of the game the protagonists are forced to play.
