Created by the group Byakuten, the series centers on the daily lives and lighthearted adventures of high school students Saya and Sayu, utilizing a slice-of-life framework common in Japanese youth-oriented media. The project was designed to expand the franchise's footprint, building upon the established character dynamics to appeal to fans of character-driven comedy.
The design and artistic direction reflect the typical aesthetic of mid-2010s digital manga serialization, focusing on expressive, clean lines and relatable character archetypes. Byakuten aimed to capture a sense of whimsical charm, emphasizing the interplay between the two protagonists.
