Cyborg Grandpa-G, known in Japan as Cyborg Jiichan G, was a short-lived manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump during the late 1980s. It stands out as an early professional work by Takeshi Obata, who would later gain worldwide renown for his collaboration on Death Note and Hikaru no Go. At this stage in his career, Obata was experimenting with the high-energy, gag-focused style that defined the era's shonen comedy landscape.
