Devilman

Devilman was created by manga artist Go Nagai and first serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 1972. Conceived as a darker, more nihilistic successor to his earlier work Demon Lord Dante, the series was produced during a period of significant social upheaval in Japan, reflecting the anxieties of the era through its apocalyptic narrative and visceral depiction of human cruelty.
