Family History Compiled by Lucy Henderson Horton ...

Published in the early 20th century, this volume represents the genealogical research of Lucy Henderson Horton. Created during a period when amateur and professional historians were increasingly focused on documenting lineage and ancestral records in the United States, the work reflects a meticulous effort to preserve familial records that might otherwise have been lost to time.

The text serves as a significant resource for regional historical documentation, specifically highlighting the families of Tennessee and surrounding areas. Compiled with a focus on archival accuracy and personal narrative, the volume was received primarily as a foundational reference for genealogical societies and family members, maintaining a niche but enduring status among historians interested in Southern American pioneer ancestry.
