Where it came from
This doujinshi was produced by the circle Jishou Seijunha within the vibrant ecosystem of Japanese fan-created literature, specifically focusing on the Fate/Zero franchise. It emerged as part of a post-publication movement among fans to recontextualize the somber tone of the original series, often by placing its characters in comedic or lighthearted scenarios that contrast with the grim nature of the Fourth Holy Grail War.
The work focuses on an exaggerated, melancholy interpretation of Saber, capturing the character's internal frustrations and sense of being underserved or 'unlucky' throughout the events of Fate/Zero. The artist employed a simplified, expressive art style characteristic of mid-2010s doujin culture, prioritizing character-driven humor and domestic-style gags to build a relatable, if satirical, caricature that resonated with fans looking for a lighter take on the series.
