Where it came from
For the Rest of My Life is a collection of illustrations and creative works by the artist known as Ice Free Herbal Jelly. Published within the digital and indie publishing sphere, the volume captures the artist's signature aesthetic, which often features delicate character designs and emotive, soft-toned color palettes characteristic of contemporary Chinese web-based illustration styles.
The project was conceived as a retrospective showcase of the artist's personal portfolio. Rather than following a traditional narrative structure, the volume is designed as an art book that prioritizes atmosphere and the exploration of mundane intimacy. It reflects a broader movement of independent artists self-publishing high-quality collections to archive their online presence and foster a deeper connection with their audience.
