Fullmetal Alchemist - Dadward Answers Some Difficult Questions from His Children (Doujinshi)

This doujinshi, titled Dadward Answers Some Difficult Questions from His Children, was created by the artist known as Hanayama. Produced within the vibrant and highly active Fullmetal Alchemist fan community, this work serves as an unofficial, self-published extension of Hiromu Arakawa’s original series. It reflects the post-series interest in the domestic life of the Elric family, providing a humorous and sentimental interpretation of Edward Elric navigating fatherhood after the conclusion of the canonical narrative.

The design and content focus on the lighthearted interplay between Edward and his children, a common trope in fan-created content that seeks to fill in the narrative gaps left after the manga’s final chapter. Hanayama’s stylistic choices typically emphasize expressive character designs and domestic comedy, aligning with the aesthetic sensibilities common in Japanese fan circles during the mid-to-late 2000s. As a piece of doujin culture, it was received as a communal effort to expand upon the emotional resonance of the primary source material.
