Where it came from
Ghosty's Comic emerged from the creative mind of Indonesian illustrator Fajar Hadria Putra, serving as a humorous reflection of the trials and tribulations inherent in the creative industry. The series functions as a satirical commentary on the daily life of freelance artists, designers, and illustrators in Indonesia, capturing the often surreal and frustrating interactions between creators and clients with a distinct, minimalist art style that emphasizes relatable slapstick comedy.
The design of the characters and the strip's layout were meticulously crafted to prioritize clarity and punchline timing, mirroring the pacing of classic webcomics while addressing contemporary gig-economy challenges. Since its inception, the series has garnered a significant following across social media platforms, praised by the local creative community for its ability to transform professional anxieties into lighthearted, shared experiences that resonate with a broad audience beyond just industry insiders.
