Haikyu!! - Waiting for You at the Last March (Doujinshi)

Waiting for You at the Last March is a work of fan fiction, or doujinshi, produced by the circle known as Bessatsu Volleyball. These independent publications emerged from the vibrant Japanese fan culture surrounding Haruichi Furudate’s manga series Haikyu!!, which explores the intense camaraderie and competitive spirit of high school volleyball. Doujinshi like this one function as an extension of the primary narrative, often focusing on the character dynamics and emotional arcs that resonate most deeply with the series' dedicated readership.

The creators behind Bessatsu Volleyball utilized the doujinshi format to explore specific character perspectives outside the constraints of official canon. By blending the established aesthetic of the source material with their own artistic sensibilities, the circle sought to deepen the reader's connection to the characters. Such works are typically distributed at specialized events like Comiket in Japan, where they are received as a collaborative expression of fandom, valued for their unique character interpretations and the high quality of art that often mirrors the professional standards of the original manga.
