Harry Potter - Carnival II 2002 (Doujinshi)

Harry Potter - Carnival II 2002 is a fan-produced doujinshi created by the artist known as Ronru Pearl during the early 2000s, a period when the global explosion of the Harry Potter franchise fueled a massive surge in international amateur fan art and literature. Published in Japan, this work reflects the specific cultural intersection of J.K. Rowling’s source material and the long-standing tradition of Japanese dōjin culture, where creators reinterpret established intellectual properties through distinct artistic lenses and narratives that often fall outside the bounds of official canon.

The aesthetic of this volume follows the highly stylized conventions of the period's doujinshi market, emphasizing character-focused illustrations that lean into anime-inspired visual cues. As an independent publication, it was disseminated primarily at large-scale fan events like Comiket, serving as an ephemeral piece of fan media. Like many such publications from this era, its design was intended for a niche audience of enthusiasts looking to engage with the characters in a more personalized, imaginative format, and it remains a documented relic of the grassroots creative communities that coalesced around the franchise during its peak popularity.
