Harry Potter - Futatsu no Watashi (Doujinshi)

Futatsu no Watashi is a fan-created work, or doujinshi, centered on the Harry Potter universe, produced by the artist known as Kurosusutou, also referred to as Mako Futoshi. It emerged from the vibrant Japanese doujinshi scene, where creators often reinterpret Western literary franchises through the lens of manga tropes and stylistic conventions. These works are typically self-published for circulation at specialized events like Comiket, reflecting a deep engagement with character dynamics and narrative exploration that exists parallel to the original source material.

The design and artistic approach of the work are characteristic of the early 2000s Japanese fan art movement, focusing on emotive character portraits and personal interpretations of J.K. Rowling’s established world. As an unofficial project, its production was driven by the creator's passion for the series rather than commercial publication mandates. It was received primarily within enthusiast circles that appreciate the unique cross-cultural dialogue between the global phenomenon of Harry Potter and the specific aesthetic sensibilities of the Japanese independent publishing community.
