Where it came from
Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshi Kousei wo Hirou. Each Stories serves as a spin-off collection within the broader Higehiro franchise, which originated as a light novel series by Shimesaba. This specific volume was released to expand upon the narratives of the supporting characters, providing readers with side stories that flesh out the interpersonal dynamics outside of the primary plot involving Sayu and Yoshida. It was produced by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko to capitalize on the series' popularity and to offer a deeper look at the peripheral cast members.
The illustrations for this volume were handled by Buta, a manga artist recognized for maintaining the visual consistency established by the series' original illustrator, Booota. The artistic direction focuses on a light, character-centric aesthetic intended to evoke a more casual and heartwarming tone than the heavier themes found in the main storyline. Upon its release, it was received as a companion piece for dedicated fans, praised for offering closure and extra context to the character arcs that were briefly sidelined in the main novels.
