Where it came from
The Himegoto Comic Anthology is a specialized publication released in the mid-2010s to capitalize on the popularity of the Himegoto franchise, which originally began as a four-panel manga series by Norio Tsukudani. This anthology served as a tribute collection, bringing together a variety of manga artists to offer their unique interpretations and comedic takes on the series' established characters and gender-bending tropes.
Hitsujibako, a contributor to this anthology, is recognized for a distinct, soft illustrative style that complements the lighthearted and often absurd nature of the source material. These anthologies were typically produced as supplemental material for fans who appreciated the franchise's niche humor, and they generally functioned as lighthearted, celebratory expansions rather than essential canonical narratives.
