Where it came from
I'm a Satori, So I'd Given Up On Love, but Now a Younger Wolf is Pursuing Me originated as a light novel series written by Wakanari Kisuke, later adapted into a manga serialization. The work falls into the fantasy-romance genre, centering on the mythical satori—a creature from Japanese folklore known for reading minds—who navigates the challenges of social interaction and romantic longing after a life of isolation.
The narrative design reflects the contemporary trend of character-driven folklore adaptations in Japanese media. By pairing a protagonist defined by their inability to hide their thoughts with a younger, persistent suitor, the author explores themes of vulnerability and internal conflict. The work has been received as a gentle, character-focused addition to the supernatural romance category, appealing to readers who enjoy low-stakes emotional development.
