INTERNATIONAL LITERARY MARKET PLACE 2026: The Directory of the International Book Publishing... Industry

The International Literary Market Place, often abbreviated as ILMP, has served as a cornerstone reference tool for the global publishing community since its inception in the mid-20th century. Designed to bridge the gaps in an increasingly globalized book trade, it was established to provide publishing professionals with comprehensive contact data, market insights, and logistical information for thousands of organizations across dozens of countries. The 2026 edition continues this long-standing tradition of facilitating international rights deals and editorial collaborations.

Published by Information Today, Inc., the directory reflects the rigorous organizational standards established under the guidance of editors like Thomas H. Hogan. The design of the volume prioritizes accessibility and utility, organizing a vast amount of shifting data into a structured format that remains a standard fixture in libraries, literary agencies, and major publishing houses. While digital databases have become more common, the annual print edition is maintained as a reliable, curated resource for industry insiders who value the verified, centralized data that the series has provided for decades.
