Where it came from
It Would Be Great if You Didn't Exist is a notable manga work by the creator known as Carbonara. The series emerged within the contemporary landscape of digital and serialized manga, characterized by its biting, cynical humor and the exploration of strained interpersonal dynamics. The work functions as a dark comedic commentary on modern social friction, utilizing a minimalist aesthetic to highlight the absurdity of the protagonist's internal and external conflicts.
Carbonara designed the series to subvert standard tropes found in slice-of-life storytelling by pushing characters into increasingly volatile scenarios. The visual style is intentionally stripped back, focusing on emotive character expressions and sharp dialogue to drive the narrative. Upon its release, it gained a dedicated following among readers who appreciate self-deprecating humor and narratives that favor psychological discomfort over traditional character growth.
