Where it came from
I've Been Looking for a Thousand Years is a manhwa series written and illustrated by Subin, emerging from the vibrant landscape of South Korean digital comics. The work is deeply rooted in the fantasy romance genre, a category that has seen significant growth on webtoon platforms by blending ethereal, supernatural themes with intricate emotional character development.
The series is noted for Subin's atmospheric artistic style, which emphasizes the passage of time through both narrative pacing and visual aesthetic. The work was developed to explore themes of eternal connection and longing, aiming to resonate with readers through a melancholic yet hopeful tone that characterizes much of the author's approach to long-form storytelling.
