Jishou wa Kyuuketsuki-chan Kaiitan

Jishou wa Kyuuketsuki-chan Kaiitan, authored by Honma Honami, is a niche manga series that centers on the eccentric and often humorous supernatural experiences of its titular character. Released during a period where slice-of-life comedies incorporating mythological or gothic tropes gained significant traction in independent digital publishing, the work reflects a playful subversion of traditional vampire lore. It focuses on the protagonist's self-proclaimed identity as a vampire and the mundane, often awkward social situations that arise from this assertion.

The character design and illustrative style, helmed by Honma Honami, lean into a clean, expressive aesthetic characteristic of modern digital manga. By stripping away the overtly dark or ominous elements typically associated with vampire fiction, the series prioritizes character-driven humor and domestic irony. Upon its release, it was noted primarily within domestic fan communities for its lighthearted tone and ability to blend character comedy with minor supernatural elements, serving as a distinct example of contemporary character-focused manga.
