Kamisama Hajimemashita

Kamisama Hajimemashita, known in English as Kamisama Kiss, was serialized by mangaka Julietta Suzuki in the shojo magazine Hana to Yume between 2008 and 2016. The series emerged during a period of sustained popularity for romantic comedies blending folklore with contemporary school settings. Suzuki crafted the narrative to balance lighthearted humor with a deeper, myth-driven mythology centered on the shrine of a local deity, grounding the whimsical premise in the emotional growth of its lead character, Nanami Momozono.
