Where it came from
Kareshi no Koto ga Suki Sugite Kyou mo Zenryoku de Ikiru!!!, or 'I Love My Boyfriend So Much That I’m Living My Life to the Fullest Today Too!!!', began as a popular web-based comic series by the manga artist Merori. The work emerged from the vibrant culture of Japanese social media platforms, where it gained a significant following for its relatable and humorous depiction of enthusiastic, devoted romantic relationships. The series is characterized by its lighthearted tone and expressive, emotive character designs that emphasize the protagonist's unbridled passion for her partner.
The physical collected volumes were published to cater to the series' dedicated online fanbase, offering a compiled format of the serialized strips. Merori’s art style in these volumes balances minimalist aesthetics with high-energy visual gags, reflecting the central theme of chaotic but genuine affection. Upon its release in print, the series was well-received by readers looking for wholesome, comedic slice-of-life content, solidifying its place as a recognizable title within the romantic comedy subgenre of modern manga.
