Kawai Sugiru Imouto wo Mamoru Tame, Kyouikukakari ni Narimashita

Kawai Sugiru Imouto wo Mamoru Tame, Kyouikukakari ni Narimashita is a light novel series written by Ootsuka Yuki and illustrated by Kurehito Misaki. It emerged from the thriving light novel market in Japan during the early 2010s, a period defined by a surge in character-driven narratives focused on domestic and sibling dynamics. The series was published under the GA Bunko imprint, which sought to cultivate niche appeal through lighthearted tropes and high-quality character designs.

The visual identity of the series is heavily anchored by the art of Kurehito Misaki, who was already well-regarded in the industry for his distinct, polished aesthetic. His contribution was central to the series' marketing, as the character illustrations were specifically crafted to emphasize the 'kawaii' or cute aesthetic that serves as the story's namesake. The series was received as a standard entry in its genre, appealing primarily to readers who enjoy lighthearted romantic comedies and character-focused light fiction.
