The story follows a high school student named Sanpei Nakadaira who finds his mundane life interrupted by a mysterious, heavily armed robot girl named Kemeko, who claims to be his future wife. Iwasaki Masakazu’s design for Kemeko—a petite, combat-ready android with an abrasive personality—was intended to contrast sharply with the stereotypical 'waifu' tropes common in contemporary anime. The manga was well-received by fans of the light novel and manga crossover style, eventually receiving an anime adaptation in 2008 by studio Hal Film Maker.
