Kenka Oji-san: Namo Naki Chuunen, Tsuyo Sugiru.

Kenka Oji-san: Namo Naki Chuunen, Tsuyo Sugiru, authored by Homura Kawamoto, emerged within the competitive landscape of contemporary seinen manga. The series centers on the archetype of an unassuming middle-aged protagonist whose hidden past and unexpected combat prowess challenge the expectations of his peers, tapping into the popular 'strong protagonist' trope within Japanese serial storytelling.

The narrative design reflects a stylistic shift toward blending mundane social interactions with high-stakes martial conflict, a hallmark of Kawamoto’s work. The series was developed to provide a grounding, human element to the action genre, focusing on the dichotomy between the character's mundane life and his extraordinary combat capabilities, ultimately finding its audience through its serialized releases in manga magazines.
