Keppeki Sugiru yo Kiyomiya-kun

Keppeki Sugiru yo Kiyomiya-kun is a manga series authored by Shakutori Inko, originating from the competitive and diverse landscape of Japanese shojo and comedy manga publishing. The series centers on the thematic exploration of extreme germophobia and social interaction, utilizing the protagonist's obsessive cleanliness as a vehicle for both slapstick humor and character-driven development. It reflects the broader cultural trend in manga of taking a specific, singular personality quirk and placing it in a high-school setting to observe the resulting social frictions.

The aesthetic of the series is characteristic of contemporary slice-of-life titles, focusing on clean character lines and expressive, exaggerated reactions that emphasize the comedic premise. Shakutori Inko utilized a lighthearted, approachable art style designed to balance the protagonist's rigid, often difficult personality with the warmer, more chaotic energy of his peers. Upon its release, the work was received as a charming entry in the comedy genre, noted for its ability to navigate the nuances of the lead character's neuroses without losing the levity expected by its target audience.
