Kokuhaku Yokourenshuu ZERO

Kokuhaku Yokourenshuu ZERO serves as the literary expansion of the HoneyWorks multimedia project, which began as a group of Vocaloid producers creating interconnected romantic songs. Released as part of a broader series of light novels and manga, this volume acts as a prequel that delves into the origins of the characters who define the Confession Executive Committee narrative. It provides deeper context for the emotional motivations and formative experiences that eventually lead to the school-life romances central to the franchise.

The creative direction was guided by the HoneyWorks collective, maintaining the aesthetic and narrative tone established in their viral music videos. The writing style prioritizes character-driven melodrama and lighthearted adolescent interaction, aiming to resonate with fans of the 'shoujo' manga tradition. Upon its release, the work was received as a key companion piece for established followers of the HoneyWorks universe, successfully bridging the gap between their musical discography and long-form storytelling.
