Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu. (Fan-Colored)

Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu, known in English as Komi Can't Communicate, began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2016. The series was authored and illustrated by Tomohito Oda, who sought to blend a traditional school-life comedy with a sincere exploration of social anxiety. The story centers on Shoko Komi, a student whose stunning beauty masks a severe communication disorder, and her journey to make one hundred friends with the help of her classmate, Hitohito Tadano.

The phenomenon of fan-colored editions emerged from the series' dedicated online following. As digital accessibility grew, community-driven projects began colorizing original black-and-white panels to enhance the emotional resonance and visual clarity of Oda’s expressive character designs. These fan-made efforts, while unofficial, are widely recognized as a testament to the audience's deep emotional connection to the characters and the unique visual storytelling style that made the manga an international success.
