Konyakusha wa, watashi no imouto ni koi o suru

Konyakusha wa, watashi no imouto ni koi o suru is a Japanese light novel series written by Hanabusa and illustrated by various contributors depending on the publication format. It emerged during a period of sustained popularity for the 'villainess' and 'misunderstanding' subgenres within web-novel-to-print adaptations, focusing on intricate domestic drama and sibling dynamics. The narrative structure follows the conventions of shoujo-inspired light novels, prioritizing emotional tension and character-driven revelations.

The design and artistic direction of the volume are intended to evoke the classic light novel aesthetic, utilizing character portraits to establish the interpersonal conflicts that define the plot. Like many works in this space, it was first serialized digitally before being acquired for physical release, a testament to the audience's appetite for stories that deconstruct traditional romance tropes. Reception has been largely categorized within the niche community of light novel enthusiasts who favor character-centric dramas over typical high-fantasy settings.
