Kore wa Keihi de Ochimasen! ~Keiribu no Moriwaka-san~

Kore wa Keihi de Ochimasen! ~Keiribu no Moriwaka-san~ is a light novel series written by Yuuko Aoki, which first appeared as a web novel on the platform Shousetsuka ni Narou before being adapted into print volumes illustrated by Izumi Kirihara. The story follows Sanae Moriwaka, a stoic accountant at a soap manufacturing company who navigates the complexities of corporate culture and human dynamics through the lens of expense reports. The series gained significant traction for its grounded, methodical approach to workplace life, contrasting with more dramatic or high-fantasy office tropes common in the medium.

The narrative tone is heavily influenced by the professional background of the author, focusing on the minutiae of accounting policies and the quiet satisfaction of maintaining order. Its design and visual presentation, characterized by clean, approachable character illustrations, help frame the often dry subject matter of financial reconciliation into a relatable slice-of-life experience. The series was well-received for its realistic depiction of workplace hierarchies and the moral dilemmas faced by administrative staff, eventually leading to a successful live-action television drama adaptation in Japan.
