Life of St. Mildred, by a Lay-Tertiary of St. Francis - Primary Source Edition

The Life of St. Mildred, composed by a Lay-Tertiary of St. Francis, serves as a hagiographic account of the seventh-century Anglo-Saxon princess who became the abbess of Minster-in-Thanet. Originally written to preserve the religious history and local veneration of the saint, these accounts were often transcribed and adapted by religious orders to emphasize the saint's piety and her significance to the ecclesiastical heritage of Kent.
