Love Live: Panda Setsuna-chan and Karin-san

Panda Setsuna-chan and Karin-san is a doujinshi work created by the artist totokitika, a prominent contributor to the Love Live! fan community. Produced within the vibrant independent publishing scene surrounding the School Idol Project franchise, this work reimagines characters Setsuna Yuki and Karin Asaka in a whimsical, lighthearted context. It reflects the common doujin practice of taking established personality archetypes from the series and placing them in low-stakes, humorous scenarios to explore new character dynamics.

The art style of totokitika is characterized by a soft, expressive aesthetic that emphasizes the charm of the characters, a signature approach that has garnered a significant following among enthusiasts of the series. By focusing on the playful concept of the characters as panda-themed personas, the artist aimed to provide a comforting and approachable aesthetic shift from the more dramatic narrative arcs often found in the source material. The work was released through self-publishing channels, typical of Japanese fan conventions like Comiket, where it was received by fans as a dedicated and well-executed homage to the idol universe.
