Mein Ritter ~Watashi no Kishi~

Mein Ritter ~Watashi no Kishi~ is a fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Katayama Shuu, serialized during the early 2000s. The narrative centers on themes of chivalry and complex interpersonal dynamics, characteristic of the shoujo-adjacent fantasy genre popular in Japan during that period. The work was published under the Avarus Comics imprint, reflecting the aesthetic sensibilities of that specific publishing house which often favored intricate character designs and stylized, dramatic panel layouts.

Katayama Shuu aimed to blend traditional knightly tropes with a more modern, introspective tone, focusing on the internal struggles of the protagonists. The design reflects the visual trends of the era, utilizing delicate line work and expressive character portraits to convey emotional depth. Upon its release, the series found a modest but dedicated audience who appreciated the creator’s commitment to building a self-contained world, though it remains a niche entry within the broader landscape of fantasy manga from that decade.
