Minami's Lover

Minami's Lover, or Minami-kun no Koibito, was originally serialized by mangaka Uchida Shungicu in the late 1980s. The story emerged during a period in Japanese manga when authors began exploring increasingly unconventional and surreal domestic dramas. Shungicu crafted a narrative centered on the sudden, inexplicable shrinkage of a young woman to a few inches in height, focusing not on the science of the phenomenon, but on the psychological and logistical complexities of the intimacy that develops between her and her boyfriend, Minami.
