Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury - Vampire Suletta + Human Mio / Vampire Mio + Human Suletta (Doujinshi)

This doujinshi, created by the artist Akutsu, emerged from the vibrant fan culture surrounding the 2022 anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. As is common in the doujinshi scene, fans utilize self-published works to explore alternative narrative dynamics, in this case, a Gothic-themed role reversal involving the series' central protagonists, Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran. These works are typically distributed at specialized events like Comiket in Japan to showcase a creator's unique artistic interpretation of established characters.

The publication focuses on the popular romantic pairing of Suletta and Miorine, reimagined within a vampire-human dynamic. Akutsu’s work is characteristic of the expressive, character-driven style often found in fan-made anthologies, prioritizing emotional interplay and aesthetic experimentation. Such works are generally received as creative expansions of the source material, providing fans with character studies that depart from the official plot of the anime series while maintaining the core appeal of the protagonists' relationship.
