Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter

Monster Hunter: Flash Hunter is a manga series based on the Capcom action role-playing franchise. Published in Japan starting in 2011, it was created to bridge the gap between the game's core gameplay loop—tracking, hunting, and harvesting resources from monsters—and the narrative potential of the world. The series follows the journey of a novice hunter named Raiga, providing a serialized look at the guild system and the collaborative nature of the Monster Hunter universe.

The series was written by Keiichi Hikami and illustrated by Shin Yamamoto, who worked closely with Capcom to ensure the visual depictions of the wyverns and hunters remained faithful to the games. By focusing on the tactical progression of the characters, the creators aimed to capture the intensity of the boss battles that define the series. It was generally well-received by fans of the franchise for its dedication to the lore and its accurate representation of gear progression and hunting mechanics.
