Moto Koroshiya Maid wa Bocchan wo Mamoritai

Moto Koroshiya Maid wa Bocchan wo Mamoritai is a romantic comedy manga series created by the artist known as Harukaze Maltese. The work emerged from the vibrant ecosystem of Japanese web-based manga, where creators often serialize short, character-driven chapters that highlight the juxtaposition between high-stakes action tropes and domestic life. The story follows a retired assassin who adopts the role of a maid to protect a young noble, blending comedic misunderstandings with a gentle, evolving narrative of guardianship.

The series is characterized by Harukaze Maltese's clean, expressive art style, which effectively shifts between tense, stylized combat sequences and soft-focus character moments. As part of the modern wave of 'cozy' action manga, the work has been received as a lighthearted exploration of the fish-out-of-water archetype. Its appeal lies in the author's ability to balance the protagonist's lethal instincts with the quiet, mundane responsibilities of her service, grounding the narrative in the relationship between the two leads.
