My Boyfriend in Orange, Band 03

My Boyfriend in Orange, known in Japan as Moe Kare wa Orange-iro, is a shojo manga series created by mangaka Non Tamashima. The series debuted in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in 2016, falling squarely into the romantic drama genre that explores the burgeoning relationship between a high school student and a dedicated local firefighter. The third volume continues to develop the central dynamic as protagonist Moe Sasaki navigates her growing feelings for Kyosuke Ebihara, focusing on the themes of professional responsibility and personal maturation.

Non Tamashima is recognized for her ability to balance lighthearted romantic tropes with sincere character development, a style that earned the series significant popularity among teenage readers in Japan. The design and artistic direction reflect the hallmarks of contemporary shojo aesthetic, featuring expressive character art and soft, evocative panel layouts that emphasize emotional intimacy. The German-language edition, published by Tokyopop, maintains this aesthetic fidelity, bringing Tamashima's illustrative work to an international audience with a standard trade paperback format that has been well-regarded for its accessibility and production quality.
