Nao Go Straight -Guide Dog Trainer-

Nao Go Straight -Guide Dog Trainer- is a poignant manga series written and illustrated by Yasuhito Yamamoto, serialized in the early 2000s. The work centers on the professional and personal development of a guide dog trainer, offering a detailed and empathetic look at the rigorous process of matching service animals with visually impaired individuals. It emerged during a period of growing public interest in human-animal interaction and the specific challenges faced by Japan's disability community.

Yamamoto, known for his ability to weave social issues into narrative-driven manga, designed this series to educate readers on the complexities of canine training and the profound trust required in the partnership between trainer, dog, and recipient. The series was well-regarded for its research-heavy approach, providing a grounded, informative perspective that departed from more fantastical or purely dramatic animal-centric stories. It remains a notable entry in the educational manga genre for its commitment to accurately representing the guide dog profession.
