Where it came from
This doujinshi, titled Watashi no Dato Itteiru, emerges from the expansive fan-driven ecosystem surrounding Yuki Midorikawa’s Natsume Yuujinchou. Produced by the circle MTD, these independent publications are crafted by enthusiasts who explore the gentle, supernatural world of Takashi Natsume and his companion Madara beyond the boundaries of official manga serialization. Such works often serve as a meditative extension of the original narrative, focusing on character interactions that prioritize atmosphere and emotional resonance.
The design of this specific work reflects the aesthetic sensibilities common to Natsume Yuujinchou doujinshi, which frequently mirrors Midorikawa's signature delicate, ethereal linework. Created for the dedicated fan community that congregates at events like Comiket in Japan, these items are highly ephemeral and exist as a niche collaborative effort between creators and readers. They are received as intimate supplementary texts, prized for their ability to maintain the series' characteristic blend of melancholy and warmth.
