Where it came from
Nega-kun to Posi-chan originated as a web manga series written and illustrated by Morita Shunpei. It began serialization on the Japanese platform Twitter and Pixiv, capturing a niche audience through its comedic exploration of the extreme personality dichotomy between its two main characters, who represent cynical negativity and blinding optimism.
The design of the series centers on the stark contrast between the titular characters, Nega and Posi, using their conflicting worldviews to drive situational humor. The series was eventually collected into physical volumes to meet the demand of its digital readership, reflecting a broader trend of web-born manga transitioning into traditional print publishing for a Japanese domestic market.
