Nihon University Rules

Nihon University Rules, authored by Sada Taro, emerged as a specific instructional and regulatory text intended for the student body of Nihon University. Created to codify the expectations, behavioral standards, and institutional guidelines governing campus life, the work serves as a foundational document for understanding the administrative culture of the university during its period of publication. It reflects the post-war Japanese emphasis on formalized institutional governance within large-scale private university settings.

The design of the volume adheres to a functional, austere aesthetic typical of academic handbooks produced in mid-to-late 20th-century Japan. The typography and layout were prioritized for clarity and accessibility, ensuring that students could easily reference the university's bylaws and code of conduct. While not intended as a work of artistic merit, the volume remains a significant piece of ephemera for those documenting the evolution of Japanese higher education policy and the administrative history of Nihon University.
