Ookami to Koushinryou: Spring Log

Ookami to Koushinryou: Spring Log is a continuation of Isuna Hasekura's celebrated light novel series, Spice and Wolf, which first debuted in 2006. These volumes were produced to provide fans with episodic, slice-of-life vignettes following the protagonists, Kraft Lawrence and the deity Holo, after the conclusion of the primary narrative arc. The series maintains the pastoral, economic-focused atmosphere established in the original works, continuing the character-driven dialogue that defined the franchise.

The aesthetic and thematic design of the Spring Log volumes continue the collaboration between Isuna Hasekura and illustrator Jū Ayakura. Ayakura’s signature soft, painterly character designs and atmospheric environmental art remain central to the presentation, reinforcing the series' focus on the evolving relationship between the human merchant and the wolf harvest deity. Upon release, the series was received as a nostalgic expansion, valued by the existing community for maintaining the emotional continuity of the original journey.
