Where it came from
The PARTY!~SORA~ charity anthology was published in 2011 as a direct cultural response to the Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami that devastated the Tohoku region. This volume was part of a larger collaborative effort organized by manga creators to raise funds for disaster relief, with proceeds donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society to assist in the long-term recovery of affected communities.
The anthology features a collection of short stories and illustrations from a diverse group of mangaka, including Keiko Honda, who contributed her signature artistic style to the project. The design and editorial intent focused on providing comfort, hope, and emotional solidarity to readers during a period of national mourning and uncertainty, embodying the resilience of the Japanese manga community through charitable action.
