Where it came from
The Persona 3 FES Comic Anthology: Brand New Days was published in Japan following the release of the expanded version of the role-playing game Persona 3. These anthologies were produced by various publishers, such as Enterbrain, to capitalize on the deep fan engagement with the game's atmosphere and character dynamics. This specific volume focuses on the additional story content and emotional resonance introduced in the FES expansion, offering a collection of short-form manga stories by various artists to complement the main narrative.
The volume features contributions from several manga artists, including Teragane Hibiki, who was one of the many contributors tasked with interpreting the game's stylistic, melancholic aesthetic. These anthologies were generally received by fans as supplemental material meant to provide lighthearted or side-story perspectives on the protagonists' daily lives in Iwatodai. The design and artistic direction were heavily influenced by the distinct color palettes and character aesthetics established by Shigenori Soejima, ensuring that the publication felt like an authentic extension of the Atlus source material.
